Option 1: run uncensored AI locally

Open-weight models, including uncensored and “abliterated” versions shared on sites like Hugging Face and GitHub, can run on your own computer with free apps such as LM Studio or Ollama. Nothing leaves your machine, and it works offline.

The catch is hardware. As a rough guide, a small 7–8B model compressed to 4-bit needs about 6–8 GB of graphics or system memory, and larger, smarter models need 24 GB or more. Expect slower and simpler answers than large hosted models on an average laptop.

Option 2: use uncensored AI online

Online services run large models on their own servers, so they work on any phone or computer. UncutGPT runs in any modern browser on Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone, with 220+ models including uncensored ones. There's nothing to download and no APK.

A warning about APKs and downloads

  • Unofficial “uncensored AI” APKs and installers are a common way to spread malware. Only install apps from sources you trust.
  • UncutGPT has no APK or Windows installer; anything claiming to be one isn't from us.
  • Portable setups on a USB stick are possible with local apps, but they're slow and need a capable computer to run on.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose local if you have a strong GPU, want full offline privacy and don't mind smaller models.
  • Choose online if you want the biggest models, images and video, and access from any device.
